January 4, 2025: We’re getting close to the end of the semester. As featured in the Planning document, these are the end of semester activities:
Classes are resumed on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Monday and Tuesday, January 6-7, 2025 are holidays in Romania. There will not be a lab session on Monday, January 6, 2025, 6pm-8pm (room PR706), nor on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, 8pm-10pm (room PR706).
The feedback form is available on Moodle starting from Monday, January 6, 2025, until Tuesday, January 21, 2024, 11:55pm (when the semester ends, before the exam session starts).
There will not be a lecture on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
The labs for the last session will take place on Monday, January 13, 2025, 6pm-8pm (room PR706), and Tuesday, January 14, 2025, 8pm-10pm (room PR706).
The deadline for uploading the Assignment 3 article essay is Tuesday, January 14, 2025, 11:59pm.
The deadline for uploading the Assignment 3 slides is Wednesday, January 15, 2025, 2pm.
The presentation of the Assignment 3 results takes place in the slot of the last lecture, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, 4pm-6pm (room PR706).
There will not be a lab session on Monday, January 20, 2025, 6pm-8pm (room PR706), nor on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, 8pm-10pm (room PR706).
The final exam takes place on Friday, February 7, 2025, 5pm-6pm, in room PR706. As detailed in the Grading page, it consists of a quiz with 22 questions with multiple answers, and a concept statement with 11 true / false questions.
Grades for all activities are / will be stored in the gradebook on Moodle.
September 24, 2024: Welcome to the exciting world of software security. During the SSP (Software Security and Privacy) class we will highlight the most important parts of security in software systems, focusing on application runtime security, common attack patterns, defensive techniques and pro-active and reactive approaches to improve software security. The class is heavily research-centric: we assume you know the basic stuff or learn it and focus on solving challenges, reading papers and surveying new and interesting ideas in the security world.
Lectures take place on Wednesdays, 4pm-6pm, room PR706. Labs take place on the next week, on Monday, 6pm-8pm (room PR706), and Tuesday, 8pm-10pm (room PR706).
